Privacy Statement
Our Core Principle: It is the goal of Inside Insight to set new industry standards with respect to your privacy and the protection of each user's personal information. You can rest assured that no individual data will be collected without your express consent, and any data submitted to our site will be treated with utmost care. Under no circumstances will your data be disclosed, rented or sold to any third party. Period.
Please read our policy below for further details:
Information Gathered and Use of Data: Inside Insight does not gather any individual data without the users' express consent. We do collect the statistical information stored in the ISPs log files, which is general data on the use of the website itself (like the number of times a page is visited, or which regions users are coming from). This information, however, is on an aggregate (ie, no-name) level only and not on an individual basis. It serves statistical purposes only and we guarantee it will never be used to identify individual persons.
Cookies: Cookies are little pieces of data stored on your local PC to allow the possible identification of individual computers. Inside Insight does not use cookies. I.e. the site works equally well with cookies disabled (Note: you can use your browsers settings to disable cookies).
Data Supplied by the User: Inside Insight offers services that require a minimum level of registration (e.g., for a newsletter). Only the very basic level of data that is necessary to perform the service must be given; all other information is completely voluntary. Not providing additional information will not have any effect on the service subscribed to.
You can revoke ("opt-out") from the subscription at any time by using the un-subscribe-link in every e-Mail of the service, or by sending an E-Mail to the webmaster at Inside Insight. Un-subscribing will usually take effect within several hours and automatically removes you completely from the database, deleting all your account information (re-subscribing therefore requires you to re-enter all your personal information).
You can have your data corrected or updated by re-subscribing or by sending an E-Mail to the webmaster.
Sharing of Data With Third Parties: We guarantee that under no circumstances will user information be disclosed, rented, shared, bartered, traded or sold to any third party. Should Inside Insight ever have to file for bankruptcy or be bought by another company, we guarantee that all user data will be deleted and not be passed on. The only exception is the disclosure to law enforcement, other government officials, or third parties attempting to enforce their intellectual or other property rights, or in connection with any activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.
Contractors and Third Party Service Providers: We currently do not use contractors to help with our operations. Even if we do in the future, we guarantee that none of these contractors may access the databases of user information.
Market research: Every now and then Inside Insight might gather information by means of a little online questionnaire; This is done to measure the usage and appeal of the site and its offerings. The participation in the research is completely voluntary and - if the user so chooses - anonymous. The analysis is done on an aggregate statistical level only (ie, no-name basis); after the statistical analysis is done, all individual research data is immediately deleted.
Data Protection: Data supplied by the user is stored on a local computer, different from the server. The data is stored in a separate file and secured by a state-of-the-art firewall from the server. All data is accessible only to the webmaster of Inside Insight.
Spam - Unsolicited E-Mails: No unsolicited E-Mails will be sent to you ever, except of course if you subscribed to receive the weekly Site or Quote of the Week or similar services. You can un-subscribe at any time (see above) to be removed from the mailing-list.
Sometimes Inside Insight will send you an E-Mail with news about the site or new services. You can choose not to receive such communications by indicating this on the subscription screen when you register for the service.
Protection of Information about Children and Minors: We do not expect children or minors to be visiting our site or using our services. However, we are committed to protect the safety and privacy of children or minors who might visit our site. If we discover that a child or minor is visiting the site or using a service we will not collect any information without a parental consent.
Future Privacy Policy Changes: If our privacy policy changes, we will conspicuously post those changes here. For your convenience, the date of the last update is always given at the end of this privacy policy. You can also choose to receive an automatic E-Mail-notification if this privacy policy is updated, by stating this on the subscription forms.
Disclaimer: The policy stated above covers the website of "Inside Insight" only; it does not cover other sites to which links are maintained.
Please refer also to the Rules Of Use for the terms and conditions to use the site.
